The City of Hesperia and San Bernardino County Fire Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Division have been committed for many years to consistent, coordinated and high-quality hazardous material programs.
As part of an overall Fire Department transition, the HAZMAT Division of San Bernardino County Fire now provides a variety of services to the City of Hesperia, including:
- Performing routine compliance inspections as the Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA)
- Operating the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility
- Overseeing the remediation of contaminated sites
- Responding to citizen complaints and hazardous materials emergencies
A Friendly Reminder
Our drinking water comes from groundwater. Never pour oil on the ground, in the trash, or in storm drains. Dispose of used motor oil ONLY at a used oil collection center, like Hesperia's Household Hazardous Waste Facility, or at a Used Oil Filter Exchange & Recycling Event.
