To be considered for City of Hesperia employment, a completed City employment application must be submitted utilizing the online employment application system. The online employment application system can be accessed through a desktop computer, either windows or mac, by mobile device, or by visiting a library location.
Please review the job announcement carefully and upload all required documents ( such as a cover letter & resume) and any other information you feel would assist Human Resources in determining your qualifications for employment. Failure to include the required documents will result in disqualification, so please make sure to read the requirements carefully. The job requirements are listed on the job announcement and job classification.
All application materials must be received by the Human Resources Division no later than the advertised closing date and time as noted on the job announcement. Hard copy, Faxed, Emailed, Postmarked and incomplete applications, and resumes received in lieu of the required employment application will not be accepted.
All completed applications will be screened and only those candidates who best match the needs of the City will be invited to compete further in the selection process. Based on the qualifications from the recruitment’s applicant pool, the City will exercise its discretion to determine the weight of testing (100%, pass/fail, or a conversion 40%-60%). Testing may include a written, interview, and/or assessment examination. Applicants will receive notification regarding recruitment status within three (3) weeks of final filing date.
